INSTITUTO DE SALUD CARLOS III (ISCII, Spain) is Affiliated to CIBER, since 2009 when (with the original name of CIBERSAM) was created to provide support to ISCII in biomedical research. CIBER Statute, renewed in 2022, clearly specifies the role of ISCII as part of the governing body of CIBER, the funding mechanism of CIBER by ISCII. ISCII is the Spanish public health research institute and will be actively involved in WP1,2 and WP5.
